Access control is an important function at any institution, regardless of size or function. From institutions with multiple levels of authority to smaller businesses with a handful of employees, it is critical to understand what parties have access to every area of your building(s).
Master Key systems are helpful to control which part of your staff can access their respective areas of work. For example, security or maintenance may be authorized to access locations where nurses and patients are not supposed to be. With a Master Key system, all parties can access basic locations, but only the authorized staff can operate a higher 'tier' of locations. Certain rooms may be inappropriate for even maintenance to access, and can even be keyed to not work with the master key held by the staff.
